The work was perhaps for two counter-tenors, tenor and bass.
The key is left unchanged from the choral version.

The version provided is for TTBB recorders. However, it may also be played by SSAA. In this case the soprano recorders play the tenor parts, and the alto recorders play the Bass(alto notation)parts.

T1 (CT1) - bar 11: In the original the first fifteen bars for CT1 and CT2 are in the key of C, whereas the lower two voices are in the key of F. This edition uses the key of F throughout. The B in this bar should be a Bb. This edition uses Bb.
T2 (CT2) - bar 30: The upper E should also be an Eb. This edition uses Eb.
T2 (CT2) - bar 32: The original shows an Eb, however, it is suggested this should be an E. This edition uses an E.
T1 (CT1) - bar 80: The two Bb should both be B natural. This edition uses B naturals.
T2 (CT2) - bar 136: The E should be an Eb. This edition uses Eb.
T1 (CT1) - bar 154: The E should be an Eb. This edition uses Eb.
